Sunshine Therapy Dogs offers visits to organizations such as schools, long-term care homes, offices, social agencies and more! We also accommodate visits for individuals who are looking for some quality time with our dogs.

Sunshine can send up to 4 dogs per booking, dependent on the size of the physical space, number of visitors expected, and our capacity for visits at the time of your request
Our visits are scheduled for a maximum of 75 minutes per booking, to support the wellness and energy levels of our therapy dogs
Unfortunately we cannot commit to sending a specific dog to visits by request. Our service relies on a large roster of volunteer handlers who have their personal companion dogs certified to deliver therapy services under our organization. Our volunteers self-select for the visits that best meet their scheduling and location needs. We are always glad to send you a “headshot and bio” of the dog(s) that are scheduled to attend your specific visit once they are confirmed. We are unfortunately not able to accommodate requests for hypoallergenic dogs and ask that you plan in advance for any allergies or sensitivities on site.
Sunshine Therapy Dogs are not Service Animals, and as such they do not have legal rights to access public and private spaces in the same way that a medical service dog would. Because our dogs are not Service Animals, it is important that you confirm that non-service animals (companion dogs) are permitted on-site by building/facility management before booking our service.
Yes, Sunshine Therapy Dogs carries active organizational liability insurance that applies to all visits booked through our service. We are happy to provide a copy of our Insurance Certificate upon request
As a volunteer-led charity that aims to deliver accessible supports to vulnerable and underserved groups and individuals, we operate our visits on a fee-for-service structure for certain groups to help us fund our ongoing operations and support free visits to non-profit and underserved communities.
All fees are invoiced via e-mail following completion of a successful visit. Non-fee donations of $20 or more will be provided with a tax receipt.
We are always glad to discuss ways to make our services accessible to your group on a case-by-case basis.
